Permission to Write
I need to be able to write without a face. To say plainly what I think and feel without thinking about how it will look when others read it. To write as I would write if I felt I could be true to myself and not regret. Strategy has always been a chief concern of mine. I will play my cards when it best suits me, when there is more benefit than retribution in store. But I may need to forget my battle-map and lay down my defenses if I'm to write at all. Writing to me is more spiritual and personal than any art. Writing is the soul bleeding and it is in the turning of the blood real-life emerges. Writing is life and I've held my pen dry for too long.
